Besides an umbrella, do you recommend rain shoe covers? I don't want to walk in soaking-wet sneakers. Would rubber rain shoe covers work in Thailand rain?

I got caught in that downpour last night on my way to W District in Phra Khanong. W Market (an outside beer garden as you know) had big umbrellas up so it was possible to sit there. But I got thoroughly soaked getting there.

We were back in our hotel by the time it rained :) we got lucky to not have much during the day while we were out. We are staying near the Phloen Chit station on Witthayu rd. Any ideas where I can take a 12 yr old? It’s too hot for anything outside. We did bowling and a movie already, aquarium tomorrow.

Not a bad effort, just a handful of mistakes but I’ll forgive you for those. My first 2 trips were 2002-3 and there were no tuk tuks then so it was either bicycle or on the back of a moto. By 2009 (my 3rd. Trip) there were tuk tuks . I enjoyed your walk through Preah Khan . I basicly lived in Siem reap from 2011-2020

We’re going to Thailand next month & thinking about to visit Koh Chang +koh Kood for the first time. I myself a Thai person would love to flying there to Trat because it just makes me sick+ tired sitting on the bus for many hours but because of my teenage daughter who has a problem with it then I don’t have other choices.😢
